Wings of Aid & Peace (WAP) is committed to promoting the safety, dignity and rights of the people and communities with whom we engage.

Everyone who comes into contact with WAP should be treated with dignity and respect.
WAP does not tolerate sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, abuse of children or other serious conduct that places people at risk of harm.
Our safeguarding approach is guided by respect, accountability, appropriate confidentiality and the principle of Do No Harm.
WAP expects its personnel, volunteers, representatives and others acting on its behalf to maintain appropriate standards of conduct and never exploit their position, authority or access to communities.
Anyone who experiences, witnesses or becomes aware of a potential concern is encouraged to report it through the appropriate WAP reporting mechanism.
Children have the right to be protected from abuse, exploitation, neglect and other forms of harm.
WAP seeks to ensure that interactions with children connected with our activities are respectful, appropriate and guided by their safety, dignity and best interests.

Please do not use the general enquiries or partnership email addresses for sensitive safeguarding reports.
WAP seeks to receive safeguarding concerns seriously, respectfully and with appropriate confidentiality.
Information may be shared only where necessary for appropriate safeguarding, protection, response or legal purposes.
WAP cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality in every circumstance, particularly where action may be necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
Protection From Retaliation
WAP does not accept retaliation against individuals who raise genuine concerns in good faith.
Raising a concern in good faith does not require the person reporting it to prove the allegation before making the report.
If you or another person is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical, protection or emergency assistance, seek help from the appropriate local emergency, medical or protection services where safe and available.
The WAP website reporting mechanism should not be used as a substitute for emergency assistance.
