Leadership at Wings of Aid & Peace (WAP) is grounded in responsibility, accountability and commitment to the organization's humanitarian mission.
WAP seeks to develop leadership arrangements that provide strategic direction, support responsible management and strengthen the organization's ability to serve crisis-affected communities with dignity, integrity and professionalism.
Wings of Aid & Peace (WAP) works alongside communities facing humanitarian challenges to support solutions that respond to immediate needs while strengthening longer-term resilience.
Our work brings together humanitarian response, recovery, protection, community participation and peacebuilding. We recognize that communities affected by crisis are not simply recipients of assistance; they are essential partners in understanding challenges, identifying priorities and shaping appropriate responses.
For this reason, we seek to place affected people at the centre of our work and to ensure that dignity, participation, accountability and respect guide the way we engage with communities.
Humanitarian crises can affect every aspect of people's lives.
Conflict, displacement, food insecurity, disrupted livelihoods, limited access to essential services, protection risks and environmental pressures can combine to create complex and prolonged humanitarian needs.
WAP exists to contribute to responses that address these challenges in a responsible and coordinated way. Where appropriate, we seek to connect immediate humanitarian assistance with recovery, resilience and peacebuilding so that our work responds not only to urgent needs but also supports communities as they work toward greater stability and self-reliance.

Our programmes are designed and implemented according to identified needs, operational capacity, available resources and the specific context of the communities and locations concerned.
We believe humanitarian action is stronger when communities have meaningful opportunities to participate in the decisions that affect them. Our approach therefore seeks to promote community engagement throughout the programme cycle—from understanding needs and priorities to implementation, feedback, monitoring and learning.
Accountability is an essential part of responsible humanitarian action.
WAP seeks to provide communities and other stakeholders with appropriate channels to communicate with the organization, provide feedback, make complaints and raise concerns.
Our accountability framework is intended to support accessible and responsible mechanisms relating to community feedback, programme complaints, safeguarding, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), suspected fraud or corruption, misconduct and whistleblowing.
Sensitive concerns are intended to be handled through appropriate confidential and restricted processes.
WAP recognizes its responsibility to promote safe and respectful conduct throughout its activities.
We seek to maintain organizational policies, procedures and reporting mechanisms addressing safeguarding, PSEA, child safeguarding, ethical conduct, fraud and corruption, and other forms of misconduct.
Everyone representing WAP is expected to act responsibly and in accordance with applicable organizational policies and standards.
Complex humanitarian and development challenges cannot be addressed by one organization alone.
WAP seeks responsible collaboration with communities, civil society organizations, humanitarian and development actors, institutional partners and other appropriate stakeholders where collaboration can strengthen the relevance, quality and sustainability of humanitarian action.
Any public representation of a formal WAP partnership is subject to organizational approval.
We recognize that institutional credibility depends on more than what an organization says—it depends on how it works.
WAP therefore seeks to strengthen governance, programme management, accountability, monitoring, learning and institutional transparency as the organization develops.
Approved policies, reports, strategies, assessments and other public institutional documents may be made available through the WAP Resource Library to support transparency, learning and access to information.
